  • ביו-דיזל באוטו שלי?

    ביו-דיזל הוא סולר ביולוגי המיצור משמנים צמחיים כתחליף לדיזל המינרלי. בערתו נקייה אפילו מזו של בנזין ויש לו שימושים רבים נוספים. רועי אנג'ל מפעולה ירוקה ידבר על החסרונות בשימוש בדלקים רגילים, על תרומתו של הביו-דיזל, ועל תהליך הפקתו.

  • פרסום במרחב הציבורי

    אבי לוי, מנכ"ל פעולה ירוקה ונבו לדרמן מהקליניקה לצדק סביבתי ידברו על הפרסום במרחב הציבורי כאמצעי חדירה של הגלובליזציה התאגידית, כיצד זה משפיע עלינו ומה אפשר לעשות.

    פורום תנועות הנוער

    במהלך חודש יולי ייצא המסע "בין סביבה לחברה" שיזם פורום תנועות הנוער לאיכות סביבה. המסע מיועד לש"שים ולחל"תים של תנועות הנוער לשנה הבאה. מטרת המסע היא לגבש קבוצה של נציגים מכל תנועות הנוער שיהוו את הגרעין של הפורום שנה הבאה. במהלך המסע נעבור סדנאות ופעילויות תוך כדי טיול בטבע ובמרחב העירוני על מנת להעלות את הסוגיות הסביבתיות-חברתיות בצורה המעניינת ביותר.

    הסיור יתקיים בין ה18.7 ל23.7. מסלול הטיול יהיה בין "קרן הכרמל" (המוחראקה) אשר ליד יקנעם עד לחדרה. עלותו (לאחר סבסוד) תהיה 100 ₪.

  • אנו מחפשים מידע על מפגעים סביבתיים שהם תוצר פעילות צבאית בישראל – צה"ל על בסיסיו, מו גם תעשיה צבאית, הם מהגורמים העיקריים לפגיעות סביבתיות בישראל. נשמח לקבל מידע מארגונים, פעילים וכל מי שאכפת לו/לה, להקמת מרכז מידע אינטרנטי. בוני/ות אתרים ומעצבים/ות מוזמנים להצטרף ליוזמה.

  • דרושים מתנדבים לתרגום דו"ח של עמותת Physicians for Global Action שסוקר את השלכות מיליטריזם ופעילות צבאית על הסביבה. זהו דו"ח מקיף ומעניין מאוד, שתרגומו יאפשר לפעילים ולקבוצות ללמוד עוד על ההשלכות הסביבתיות של מלחמה.

    המצעד, הנערך זו השנה השלישית ביוזמת "הבית הפתוח" בירושלים, נערך השנה תחת הכותרת "אהבה ללא גבולות". באירוע נצעד אנו תחת המסר "פילוח שוק אינו תנועה לשינוי חברתי" ונמחה על השתלטות התאגידים והפירסומאים על אג'נדת השיחרור של הקהילה ההומו-לסבית. כולם מוזמנים לבוא ביצירתיות!

    מונסנטו נסוגה מייצור חיטה מהונדסת גנטית העמידה לקוטל העשבים "ראונדאפ". ההתנגדות של חקלאים וצרכנים ברחבי העולם לחיטה המהונדסת הכריחה את ענק הביוטכנולגיה לסגת.

    יום שני, 10 במאי, 2004 - מונסנטו הודיעה היום שהיא מפסיקה את פרוייקט החיטה המהונדסת שלה. החברה הודיעה בשקט היום שאחרי שבע שנים של מחקר וניסיונות כושלים לשכנע חקלאים ואת שוק החיטה הבינלאומי, היא תפסיק את כל המחקר וניסיונות השדה של החיטה המהונדסת.נסיגה זו מראה כי ההתנגדות המוחצת של חקלאים אמריקאיים ושל שווקים מקומיים ובינלאומיים לחיטה המהונדסת הראשונה , הייתה גדולה מכדי שהחברה תוכל להתגבר עליה. עכשיו מופעל לחץ על מונסנטו לחזור בה מהבקשה למסחור חיטה העמידה לקוטל העשבים "ראונדאפ"


    ראיון עם ג'ואו אלכסנדר פסחנסקי, "איכרים ללא אדמות" ברזיל | רועי אנג'ל

    השבוע ביקר בישראל ובפלסטין ג'ואו אלכסנדר פסחנסקי, עיתונאי ברזילאי הכותב בעיתון השבועי Brasil de Fato. העיתון הוא אחד מכ300 כלי תקשורת השייכים ל"תנועת האיכרים ללא אדמות" (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra, MST), התנועה לשינוי חברתי הגדולה והחשובה בברזיל כיום ואחת התנועות הגדולות בעולם.

    בתחילת 2003 יצא נשיא ברזיל לולה דה סילבה בהצהרה תקדימית המתירה הכנסה של זרעים מהונדסים גנטית לברזיל. ההצהרה התקדימית, הפכה בין לילה את ברזיל שהייתה אחת המתנגדות העיקריות להכנסת זרעים מהונדסים גנטית, לשוק נוסף לחברות הביוטכנולוגיה, ועוררה תגובות חריפות מצד איכרים רבים ומצד הMST כנציגה עיקרית שלהם. ביקשנו מג'ואו שינסה לתאר בקצרה את המאבק בנושא המזון המהונדס גנטית בברזיל

    Bio-diesel is biological diesel created from vegetable oils as a substitute to mineral diesel. It's is cleaner than gas and it has many uses. Roey Angel will discuss the disadvantages of the use of regular fuels, the adavantages of bio-diesel and how it is produced.

    Avi Levi שמג Nevo Lederman will talk about advertising in the public domain as a tool for the corporate globalisation, how it affects us and what can be done.

    Youth Movement Forum

    In July, a journy initiated by the Youth Movement Forum for the Environment will set off. The journey is intended for next year's civil service volunteers. The journey's goal is to organize a group of representatives for next year's forum. During the journey, we will have workshop and activities while traveling in the nature and the urban domain so that social and ecological issues will be dealt with in a creative manner.

    The journey will be from July 18th to the 23rd. The trip will be in "Keren HaKarmel" near Yokne'am and to Hadera. The price: 100 NIS.

    When the army harms the Environment...

  • We need information on hazards! For a new database on army created environmental hazards, we warmly invite groups who struggle and individuals who care to send in information on hazards from across Israel.
    Water, Air and soil pollution, closure of rural, public areas, the dangers in weapons of mass destruction, decalration of fire zones and mining are all severe environmental hazards the army creates in a daily manner. And yet, are completely ignored by the environmentalist community.
    We can use any type of information you have: From newspapers, magazines, the interenet, organizations and institutions.

  • Volunteers are Needed to translate a report of Physicians for Global Action that depicts the consequences of military activity on the environment. Its translation will help activists and groups learn about the environmental consequences of war.

    The parade, which is organized by Jerusalem's "Open House" for the third year now, is held under the title of "Love Without Boundries". In the event, we will protest the taking over of corporations and advertisers on the liberation agenda of the gay community. You are all welcome to join!     Force Biotech Giant’s Retreat

    Monday, May 10, 2004 - Monsanto announced today that it is pulling the plug on its RoundUp Ready (RR) genetically engineered wheat. The company announced quietly today that, after seven years of development and failed efforts to win over farmers and the international wheat market, they will discontinue all research and field trial activities on RR wheat. Monsanto’s application for commercialization remains pending with both U.S. and Canadian governments, but this major retreat signifies that the overwhelming opposition to the first GE wheat variety from U.S. farmers, and both domestic and international markets, was too great for the company to overcome. The pressure is now on Monsanto to withdraw its applications to commercialize RoundUp Ready wheat.

    Joדo Alexandre Peschanski is an activist of the Landless Workers Movement (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra, MST), working especially in the communication sector of the movement, and member of Brasil de Fato, weekly newspaper of Brazilian social movements. He visited Israel and Palestine this week and talked in Salon Mazal in Tel Aviv.
