נפתחת תכנית הכשרה לפעילי סביבה. התכנית מיועדת למספר מצומצם של פעילים ופעילות אשר שואפים להרחיב את הידע והכלים העומדים לרשותם בתחום השינוי החברתי-סביבתי. במהלך החודשים הקרובים ניזום מפגשים עם דוברים שונים במטרה:
- להעניק כלים להשגת יעדים ציבוריים (כלים ליצירת "שינוי חברתי")
- לקבל העשרה תכנית בנושאים הקרובים לפעילותנו.
- ללמוד כלים ליישום פתרונות סביבתיים בחיי היום-יום ובאירועים של הארגון.
- לעבוד בקבוצה, להחליט ולפעול יחד!
תכנית המפגשים הקרובים:
23.9 - יחסי לובי ודוברות בהנחיית שמואל חן ונאור ירושלמי, חיים וסביבה.
26.9 - תרגול אי אלימות עם נציגי הקוויקרס בישראל: מקורות אי האלימות, קבלת החלטות ויישומים פרקטיים.
14.10 - איך עושים יחסי ציבור בקמפיין לשינוי חברתי, אלכס בילצקי, פרסומאי וחבר הנהלת אג'נדה.
21.10 מפת הארגונים הסביבתיים בישראל ומגמות משתנות בשיח הסביבתי, אלונה ורדי, רכזת סביבה וקהילה, שתי"ל.

פורום תנועות הנוער לאיכות סביבה פותח שנה!

בפגישה יקבעו התכנית השנתית של הפורום ונהלי עבודה משותפים. יש לציין שהצלחת הפורום בשנת הפעילות הקודמת היא שמניעה אותנו להמשיך ולפעול עם תנועות הנוער למען סביבה וחברה טובות יותר!
"הג'אנק היחיד שתמצאו אצלנו זה..."
היום העולמי נגד מקדונלדס' נערך מידי שנה ב-16 באוקטובר. ביום זה הגיש תאגיד המזון המהיר תביעת דיבה נגד שני פעילים בריטים חביבים שחילקו פלאיירים המפרטים את הנזקים שיוצרת הרשת. מאז מציינים את היום פעילים סביבתיים וחברתיים ברחבי העולם. הם לא קוראים לרשת להגדיל את מלאי המוצרים הדיאטטיים שלה, הם קוראים לבני אדם לעבור לצריכה מוסרית וסביבתית יותר.

הפגישה תיערך בסלון מזל (סמטה אלמונית 3, ת"א) ביום שני ה-20 בספטמבר בשעה 19:00.

מדי קיץ, מתרחש באירופה מחנה סביבתי -- חברתי, בשם Ecotopia . ניתן לומר שמדובר בגרסה האירופאית ל"פסטיבל אקטיביזם" המוכר לנו, עם הבדל אחד בולט: זה נמשך שבועיים. מסורת זו החלה לפני 16 שנה בגרמניה, ומאז האירוע מתרחש כל שנה במדינה אחרת באירופה. הרעיון היה ליצור מפגש שבו אקטיביסטים וצעירים מכל אירופה יוכלו ללמוד על אלטרנטיבות ואורח חיים אקולוגי ואף לחוות בעצמם חיים בקהילה בת קיימא, במשך שבועיים. האירוע מאורגן ע"י EYFA (European Youth For Action). להמשך יש ללחוץ כאן.
הצעה לחג: ברכות מניר ממוחזר.
ראש השנה הוא הזדמנות מצוינת להעניק ליקירכם מעט תשומת לב בצורת ברכת-חג. כל מה שתמיד רציתם להגיד ולא ידעתם איך... (אבל רק דברים טובים, בכל זאת חג). במקום לקנות איגרות ברכה מפס ייצור המוני, לפניכם מתכון פשוט להכנת נייר ממוחזר תוצרת בית. הציוד הדרוש הוא לא יותר מעיתוני החג שתכננתם לזרוק, גיגית ורשת מתוחה. וכל זה לפני שהזכרנו את יום הכיפורים, שהוא יום הכאה על חטאיכם האקולוגיים. שנה טובה!

קולים את הקפה לבין קואופרטיב קטן של מגדלי קפה. ההתקשרות מבטיחה תשלום
קבוע והוגן לחקלאים, שהוא בדרך כלל גבוה ממחיר השוק. הם מקבלים תנאי
אשראי נוחים המאפשרים תכנון לטווח ארוך. הם יכולים לרכוש השכלה, ולהשקיע
בפרוייקטים קהילתיים. המגדלים מצידם, מבטיחים אספקה רציפה של קפה איכותי
ושמירה על סטנדרטים גבוהים של גידול ועיבוד, כמו גם נטילת אחריות לחייהם
ולחיי משפחותיהם..."

Qualified for Action
We are opening a qualification program for environmental activists. The program is arranged for a small number of activists who wish to expand their knowledge and tools regarding social-environmental change. During the next few months we will hold meetings with various speakers in order to:
- learn tools for the achievement of public goals (tools for creating social change).
- Learn new and relevant information
- Learn how to realize environmental solutions in day-to-day life and in organisational events.
- Work in a team, decide and act together!
23.9-lobbying and speakership, hosted by Shmuel Khen and Naor Yerushalmi From Haim Vesviva.
26.9-non-violence training with the Quakers representatives in Israel: the sources of non-violence, decision making and practical solutions.
14.10-public relations for a social change campain, hosted by Alex Biletski, copywriter and Agenda member of board.
21.10-the map of environmental organizations in Israel and changing directions in environmental dialogue, hosted by Alona Verdi, environment and community organizer, Shatil.

The Youth Organizations Forum
The first meeting of the forum will be held on Monday the 22/9, at 13:00. The meetings location will be announced soon. Members of youth organizations are welcome to join, after coordinating their arrival with Oren Ziv, the project manager: 052-3928592.
In the meeting the annual forum plan and joint work procedures will be decided. It should be said that it is last years forum success that drives us to continue working with the youth organizations for a better environment and society.
The only junk you'll find at McDonalds is...
The international anti-McDonalds day is held annually at October the 16th. On this day the fast food corporation filed a libel lawsuit against two kind-hearted British activists for handing out flyers listing the damages the food chain creates. This day has been marked by social and environmental activists worldwide eversince. They are not calling for more dietary products in McDonalds stocks, they are calling for the transition of individuals to more moral and environmental consummerism.
Come plan the Israeli activities!
The meeting will be held at Salon Mazal (simta Almonit 3, Tel-Aviv), on Monday the 20/9 at 19:00. Creativity is necessary.
Notes from the Ecotopia By Rosana Berghof
Every summer, an environmental-social camp called Ecotopia is held in Europe. Perhaps this is the European version to our Activism Festival, with one noticable difference: it lasts two weeks. This tradition began sixteen years ago in Germany, and ever since the event takes place at a different state in Europe. The idea is to create a meeting where activists and young people from all over Europe can learn about alternatives and ecological lifestyles, and even experience such a life at an actual community, for two weeks. The event is organized by EYFA (European Youth for Action)

Holiday Suggestion: Recycled Paper Greeting Cards
Rosh Hashana is an excellent oppurtunity to give your loved ones a little attention by way of a holiday greeting. Everything you always wanted to say and didn't know how . . (only the good things, though; it is a holiday). Instead of buying greeting cards from a mass production line, here is a simple recipe for home-made recycled paper. The required equipment is nothing more than the holiday papers you intended to throw away, a basin and a stretched net. And we havent even mentioned Yom Kippur, the day to pray for our Ecological sins. Shana Tova!

Fair Trade in the Occupied Territories By Ryan Or
Fair Trade Coffee began in Holland in the late 80s and spread to Europe and North America. It is about a direct, long-term association between a factory at which the coffee is roasted, and a small cooperative of coffee growers. The association guarantees fair, regular fees to the farmers, which are usually higher than the market price. They receive comfortable credit, which enables them to plan long-term. They can acquire an education and invest in their communities. The growers, on their part, ensure a steady supply of quality coffee and high standards for growing, as well as responsibility for their and their families lives.
