קבוצת כיבוש תרבות (פעולה ישירה נגד תרבות הצריכה) - פגישת פעילות!
ביום שישי ה- 12.11 בשעה 11:00, תתכנס קבוצת "כיבוש תרבות" לפגישה ראשונה לשנה הנוכחית ב"סלון מזל" (סמטה אלמונית 3, תל אביב).

קצת על קבוצת כיבוש תרבות...
המטרה העיקרית של הקבוצה היא להביא לידיעת הציבור את האפשרות להתבטא באופן חופשי במרחב הציבורי, תוך לקיחה מחדש את האחריות על המרחב הציבורי. בטווח הארוך אנו מנסים להשיג מטרה זו על ידי הוצאה לפועל של פעולות רבות כלל האפשר שממחישות את האלטרנטיבה לעיר שטופת פרסומות. מטרה חשובה נוספת היא שימת דגש על מעורבות של תושבי העיר בפרויקטים. לדוגמא- בפרויקט "תערוכה פיראטית" שמנו דגש של שיתוף אמנים וגרפיקאים תושבי העיר שאינם מהמעגל האקטיביסטי הקרוב ביותר אלינו.
חזון הקבוצה הוא עיר המשמשת כתשתית לרשת קשרים קהילתיים -- מעין לוח מודעות עצום בו כל אחד יכול להביע ולהשפיע על העיר. תושבי העיר הם אלו שאחראים על צביונה ומה שקורה בה, הם ולא בעלי ההון שמפרסמים ולא העירייה או רשויות אחרות.
עיר שתושביה אינם מעורבים בחזותה היא מקום צרכני, מנוכר, שקל יותר לשלוט על אוכלוסייתו. דמיינו בנין דירות שהשכנים בו לא מדברים זה עם זה לעומת בנין דירות שכל השכנים בו משתפים פעולה בפעילויות משותפות כמו גינון בחצר האחורית או צביעת חדר המדרגות.
חזות העיר נתונה בידי הקהילה המתקיימת בה. כיבוש תרבות יוצרת מרחבים ופלטפורמות להשתלטות מחדש של הציבור על העיר.

החל מ-11:00 חגיגת יצירת מיצגים, תחפושות וקישוט עגלות סופרמרקט בכיכר דיזינגוף.
עם העגלות המקושטות, בצבעוניות ויצירתיות נצא (12:00) לתהלוכת עגלות חגיגית.
בסיור התהלוכה נתכנס בהפנינג בכיכר קולנוע מקסים (שדרות בן-ציון פינת קינג ג'ורג').
בכיכר יוקם מאהל "סחר הוגן" שיחלק תה וקפה חופשיים מניצול, ויערכו דיונים על תרבות הצריכה, השלכותיה ואלטרנטיבות בנות קיימא לכל דורש!
יערך שוק קח-קח (הביאו מהבית בגדים, ספרים וחפצים להחלפה)
והחל מ13:00 נפצח במסיבת רחוב (על הליין אפ: די.ג'יי טוי, משה קוטנר הידוע, הופעות והפתעות) -- עד כלות הנשימה או רדת החשיכה.
וכמובן: מיצגים, גלריות, תיאטרון רחוב ועוד הפתעות....

האם לקנות? מה לקנות? - אלו שאלות פוליטיות, חברתיות, סביבתיות ואנושיות לא פחות מאשר בעד מי להצביע בקלפי. על ההשלכות האזרחיות של בחירותינו הצרכניות ירצה אבי לוי, מנכ"ל פעולה ירוקה.
מכתב תגובה למערכת הארץ בעקבות הידיעה "סחר הוגן? קבלנים פרטיים יפקחו על הרשתות- ויקבלו מהם תשלום עבור השירות" (מוסף הכלכלה, 4.11.04).
לאחרונה התפרסם כי משרד התעשייה והמסחר מתכנן להקים "רשות לסחר הוגן", שתנסה להבטיח את הגנת הצרכן ברשתות השיווק. אכן, הגנת הצרכן היא נושא חשוב מאין כמוהו, אלא ש"סחר הוגן" הא ביטוי שמשמעותו שונה בתכלית. השוק החופשי יוצר מציאות בה אין "סחר הוגן" בכל מקרה. מוצרים מיוצרים לרוב במדינות העולם השלישי, על ידי פועלים המקבלים במקרה הטוב שכר רעב המספיק לתזונה בסיסית בלבד.

בשכונת פלורנטין בתל אביב, סמוך למשרדי 'פעולה ירוקה', ריסס מישהו בספריי ירוק כתובת גרפיטי: "אדם. לא אדמה". כשנתקלתי בה לראשונה חייכתי בהזדהות, כמעט מתוך רפלקס. חשבתי לי: הנה, סוף-סוף מישהו שמצליח לראות מעבר למשיחיות הלאומנית השגורה כל כך במקומותנו. כתובת גרפיטי שכולה שיר הלל לערך חיי אדם... או שמא, החמצתי כעבור מספר צעדים, מדובר על היפוך של אותו שיח ממש.

Culture Jammers Group-Direct Action Against Consumerism-Activist Meeting!
On Friday the 12.11 at 11:00, the culture jammers group will meet for the first time this year in Salon Mazal (Almonit ally 3 Tel-Aviv).
Anyone interested is welcome to come and plan the first action together.

Something on Culture Jamming...
The groups main objective is to inform the public on the possibility to express oneself freely in the public space, while taking back responsibility on that space. On the long term we try to achieve this goal by going on as many actions as possible, which realize the alternative to a city flooded with commercials. Another important goal is putting an emphasis on the involvement of city inhabitants in projects. For example-in the Guerilla Exhibition project we emphasized sharing graphic artists from the city which do not belong to the activist community closest to us. The groups vision is the city as an infrastructure for a network of community links-like a giant post board in which anyone can express their opinion and influence the city. The city inhabitants are the ones responsible for its message and the things that happen in it, and not the capital owners which advertise, and not the municipality or other authorities.
A city whose inhabitants are not involved in its appearance is an alienated, consumer space, easier to control. Imagine an apartment building whose neighbors don't speak to each other, in contrast with a building in which everyone cooperates in joint activities like gardening in the back yard or painting the walkway.
The citys appearance belongs to the community living in it. Culture jamming creates spaces and platforms for reclaiming the city by the public.

on the program this year:
starting on 11:00 an exhibition making celebration, costumes and supermarket carts decoration in Dizengoff square. With the decorated carts, we will go on a festive shopping cart (12:00). We will then adjurn in a heppening in the Maksim movie theater square (Ben Tzion Avenue and King George).
On the square a Fair Trade tent will be raised, handing out exploitation free tea and coffee, and including discussions on consumerism, its consequences and sustainable alternatives to anyone interested!
We will hold a trading market (bring clothes, books and exchangable items).
Starting on 13:00 we will commence a street party (line up: DJ Toy, The infamous Moshe Kutner, shows and other surprises)-dancing either until we drop or night falls.
And of course: exhibitions, galleries, street theater and more...

A new bill
A new bill was presented last week in the Shderot conference against exploitative employment. The legislative, written by atturney Yuval Albashan, the director of legal clinics in the Hebrew University, is meant to prevent employers from employing workers in an offending or demeaning way. The support was sweeping (even rechlevsky is for it), then why are the supermarket tellers still standing?
Next time you enter the shop nearest to you, don't wait for the law. Notice the conditions in which the employees work, and if you don't like it-don't shop there. Our power as consumers is stronger and more intimidating than any legal proposal, as important as it might be.

Recently it has been publicized that the Office of Trade and Commerce is planning a Fair Trade Network, attempting to guarantee consumer protection in marketing chains. Indeed, protecting the consumer is vitally important, however fair trade is an expression that means something entirely different. The free market creates a reality in which there is no fair trade either way. Products are mostly made in third world countries, by workers receiving at hunger pay at best, sufficient for basic nutrition only.
