יום הסחר ההוגן העולמי 7.5.04

ביום שישי הקרוב יחגג יום הסחר ההוגן העולמי. לרגל האירוע תיערך בסלון מזל (סמטה אלמונית, ת"א) סדנא על סחר הוגן, מהו? ועל סחר הוגן פלסטיני. סדנא, סרט ומצגת. הסדנא נערכת בשיתוף הארגונים פעולה ירוקה, Oxfam , וקפה All Nations בשעות 10:00-12:00. לאחר מכן תיערך מסיבת תה ברחבת קולנוע מקסים (קינג ג'ורג' פינת שד' בן ציון).

חודש מאי הוא חודש אקולוגיה בסלון מזל ובמסגרתו פעילי פעולה ירוקה מנחים סדנאות במגוון נושאים:

    קבוצת "כיבוש תרבות" מוציאה לאור מדריך "עשו זאת בעצמכם/ן" הכולל הצעות לונדליזם יצירתי ואומנותי. נחגוג את יציתאת הפנזין בסדנאות קצרות ועם אוכל שעשינו בעצמנו.
    המדריך יימכר במהדורה מיוחדת ומפתיעה! מי שבא מרוויח.

  • ביו-דיזל באוטו שלי?

    ביו-דיזל הוא סולר ביולוגי המיצור משמנים צמחיים כתחליף לדיזל המינרלי. בערתו נקייה אפילו מזו של בנזין ויש לו שימושים רבים נוספים. רועי אנג'ל מפעולה ירוקה ידבר על החסרונות בשימוש בדלקים רגילים, על תרומתו של הביו-דיזל, ועל תהליך הפקתו.

    הנדסה גנטית

    ביום חמישי 13/5 בשעה 20:00 ייערך בגדה השמאלית (רח' אחד העם 70 ת"א) דיון פתוח בנושא ההשלכות החברתיות של ההנדסה הגנטית. במסגרת הדיון נשוחח על השפעותיה של ההנדסה הגנטית בעולם ועל חלקו של הממסד בישראל בהפצת רכיבים מהונדסים גנטית והעלמת הנושא מהציבור הרחב. האירוע בשיתוף עם מועדון "הגדה השמאלית". לפרטים נוספים התקשרו אל 03-5184770.

    אירופה - חוקים חדשים בעד מזון מהונדס-גנטית
    בניגוד לעמדה המסורתית שלה נגד מזון כזה, הנציבות האירופית תפתח אפשרות יותר נרחבת לשיווקו (YNET)

    האיחוד-האירופי עומד כנראה לאפשר הפצה יותר נרחבת של מזון אשר עבר הנדסה גנטית.

    פרשני יומון העסקים האמריקני "וול-סטריט ג'ורנל", שפירסם את המידע, הסבירו כי החלטת הנציבות-האירופית צפויה להיות בעלות השפעות אדירות-ממדים על חקלאים ועל חברות חקלאיות בעולם כולו ועל הצרכנים האירופים. המשך המאמר....

    כנס כח סביבתי 2004 "הפוליטיקה של הסביבה"

    דרוש מידע על מפגעים!
    ליצירת מאגר מידע חדש שירכז פגיעות של הצבא בסביבה, נשמח לקבל מידע על מפגעים מאזורים שונים בארץ, מקבוצות אשר מנהלות מאבקים מול הצבא ומאנשים פרטיים שאכפת להם.
    זיהום מים, אויר וקרקע, סגירת שטחים פתוחים, סכנות הנשק להשמדה המונית, הכרזה על שטח אש ומיקוש – הן כולן פגיעות סביבתיות חמורות שהצבא הישראלי יוצר מידי יום ביומו. למרות זאת, הן נעלמות כמעט לגמרי מהשיח הסביבתי.
    נוכל להיעזר בכל סוגי המידע שברשותכם: מתוך העיתונות, מכתבי עת למיניהם, מרשת האינטרנט, מארגונים ומוסדות.

    דרושים מתנדבים לגיבוש תכנים ליום לימוד בנושא מיליטריזם וסביבה שיערך בשיתוף עם תנועת 'פרופיל חדש'. במסגרת יום הלימוד נקשור קשרים רעיוניים ומעשיים בין אנטי-מיליטריזם והמאבק למען הסביבה.

    דו"ח העוני הסביבתי – תמונת מצב לשנת 2003 | אדם טבע ודין

    מדינת ישראל ידעה בשנת 2003 אירועי זיהום רבים וחמורים; די להיזכר בעננים השחורים שהיתמרו מעל אזור חיפה ולאזהרות המשרד לאיכות הסביבה שלא לצאת מהבתים, או בזיהום הים שנגרם כתוצאה מפיצוץ צינור השפכים, שבגינו נסגרו לרחצה חופי הים בגוש דן ובשרון, כדי להבין, שגם אם המפגעים הסביבתיים היו אתנו בשנים קודמות, השנה הגיעו לשיאם ונראה כי ידם עוד נטויה.

    דו"ח העוני הסביבתי בישראל, של "אדם טבע ודין", יוצא לאור לראשונה, בכדי לתת תמונת מצב מקיפה על המפגעים הסביבתיים ועל השלכותיהם על בריאות הציבור בתחומים השונים.

    International Fair Trade Day 7.5.04

    The international fair trade day will be celebrated this coming Friday. Green Action, Oxfam and All Nations Cafe will host a workshop, movie and presentation about what is fair trade and Palestinian fair trade in Salon Mazal (Simta Almonit, Tel Aviv) 10:00-12:00. After that a radical tea party will be held in the Maxim Cinema square (corner of King George st. and Ben-Tziyon blvd.)

    Ecology Month in Salon Mazal

    May is ecology month in Salon Mazal. During this month Green Action's activists will host several workshops:

  • Fair Trade and the Environment
    Tuesday, 11/05, 20:00
    Eilat Ma'oz will explain how global economic procedures effect the environment, who are the forces at hand, and why the environmental struggle is necessary right now.

  • Release Party for the new Israeli DIY Guide
    Tuesday 18/05, 20:00
    "Kibush Tarbut" are releasing a "Do it yourself" guide which includes suggestions for creative and artistic vandalism. We will celebrate the release with short workshops and food we made by ourselves.
    The guide will be sold in a special and surprising edition!

  • Bio-Diesel in My Car?

    Bio-diesel is biological diesel created from vegetable oils as a substitute to mineral diesel. It's is cleaner than gas and it has many uses. Roey Angel will discuss the disadvantages of the use of regular fuels, the adavantages of bio-diesel and how it is produced.

  • Advertising in the Public Domain
    Thursday, 27/05, 20:00
    Avi Levi will talk about advertising in the public domain as a tool for the corporate globalisation, how it affects us and what can be done.

    GMO

    Thursday 13/5, 20:00, an open discussion on the social implications of genetic engineering will take place in the "Left Bank" club (70 Ehad Ha'am st. Tel Aviv). In the discussion we will talk about the effects of genetic engineering in the world and about the role of the establishment in Israel in distributing genetically engineered foods and hiding the subject from the public. The event is in cooperation with the "Left Bank" club. For more information call 03-5184770.

    Environmental Power 2004 "The Politics of the Environment"

    Thursday, May 20, HaTikva neighborhood. The Israeli public domain is under the influence of many interest groups. Their stubborness leads to results that aren't always at one with the public's benefit. The 6th Environmental Power Convention will deal with the public and political power of the environmental movement, it's effect on the decision makers and it's ability to bring change.     When the army harms the Environment...

    We need information on hazards!
    For a new database on army created environmental hazards, we warmly invite groups who struggle and individuals who care to send in information on hazards from across Israel.
    Water, Air and soil pollution, closure of rural, public areas, the dangers in weapons of mass destruction, decalration of fire zones and mining are all severe environmental hazards the army creates in a daily manner. And yet, are completely ignored by the environmentalist community.
    We can use any type of information you have: From newspapers, magazines, the interenet, organizations and institutions.

    Volunteers are Needed to build concepts for a study day on militarism and the environment that will be held in cooperation with "New Profile". In this study day, idealistic and practical connections will be made between anti-militarism and the struggle for the environment.

    Environmental Poverty Report 2003 | Adam Teva V'Din

    The Environmental Poverty Report 2003, published on December 29, covers all of the areas in which IUED is active and presents a provocative overview of the state of Israel’s environment at the end of 2003.

    The publication was launched at a ceremony at the official residence of President Moshe Katzav, with executive director Tzipi Iser Itzik and the report’s compilers – spokesperson Dekel Sharur and government liaison Dvora Sylas – handing the first copy to President Katzav before the national press corps.
